Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2023, Bulgaria's unemployment by sex and age increased by 14.2% compared to 2022, reaching 12.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.6%.

Bulgaria ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 23.9% (from 15.9% in 2018).
