In 2017, Croatia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 2.6% compared to 2016, reaching 12,413.

Croatia ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 28.0% (from 17,248 in 2012).
