In 2017, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 4.1% compared to 2016, reaching 360,113.

Sweden ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 11.8% (from 408,420 in 2012).
