Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2009, Croatia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 7.3% compared to 2008, reaching 23.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 13.9%.

Croatia ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.8% (from 23.4% in 2004).
