Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2009, Romania's main indicators increased by 9.7% compared to 2008, reaching 22.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 13.9%.

Romania ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 31.8% (from 16.8% in 2004).
