At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2023, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 24.0% compared to 2022, reaching 26.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

Cyprus ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 25.7% (from 21.4% in 2018).
