At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2023, Croatia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.4% compared to 2022, reaching 34.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

Croatia ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 23.8% (from 28.1% in 2018).
