At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2019, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.8% compared to 2018, reaching 16.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.2%.

Cyprus ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.8% (from 15.6% in 2014).
