At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.9% compared to 2018, reaching 20.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.2%.

Italy ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.5% (from 20.5% in 2014).
