At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Spain's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.0% compared to 2018, reaching 21.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.2%.

Spain ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.5% (from 22.1% in 2014).
