In 2023, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.0% compared to 2022, reaching 13.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.4%.

Cyprus ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.5% (from 14.8% in 2018).
