Employment rates by citizenship

In 2024, Cyprus's employment rates by citizenship decreased by 0.4% compared to 2023, reaching 71.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 66.2%.

Cyprus ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.8% (from 66.6% in 2019).
