Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2018, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 5.0% compared to 2017, reaching 9.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 32.1%.

Cyprus ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 40.6% (from 6.7% in 2013).
