Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.3% compared to 2018, reaching 9.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 34.1%.

Cyprus ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 31.9% (from 7.4% in 2014).
