In 2024, Cyprus's students enrolled in tertiary education by education level, programme orientation, sex and field of education increased by 9.4% compared to 2023, reaching 57,889.

Cyprus accounts for 0.3% of the EU-27 total of 19,065,264.

Cyprus ranks 22nd out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 15.3% (from 50,211 in 2019).
