Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2021, Cyprus's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 5.3% compared to 2020, reaching 7.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 7.1%.

Cyprus ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 44.6% (from 13.0% in 2016).
