Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2009, Czechia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 18.4% compared to 2008, reaching 33.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 75.7%.

Czechia ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.0% (from 28.3% in 2004).
