In 1971, Czechia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.3% compared to 1970, reaching 69.8.

Czechia ranks 9th out of 13 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.1% (from 70.6 in 1966).
