Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2009, Czechia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 15.0% compared to 2008, reaching 10.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 13.9%.

Czechia ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 47.3% (from 6.8% in 2004).
