Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2009, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 21.3% compared to 2008, reaching 9.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 13.9%.

Slovakia ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 46.6% (from 6.4% in 2004).
