Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2021, Czechia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 1.8% compared to 2020, reaching 17.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.9%.

Czechia ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.0% (from 14.9% in 2016).
