Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2022, Denmark's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.8% compared to 2021, reaching 76.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 41.2%.

Denmark ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 28.0% (from 59.9% in 2017).
