Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2020, Estonia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 112.2% compared to 2019, reaching 19.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 89.5%.

Estonia ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 76.9% (from 10.8% in 2015).
