At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2016, France's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.6% compared to 2015, reaching 14.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 18.2%.

France ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 0.7% (from 14.5% in 2011).
