Employment rates by citizenship

In 2024, France's employment rates by citizenship increased by 0.8% compared to 2023, reaching 71.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 75.3%.

France ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.1% (from 68.8% in 2019).
