In 2017, France's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 0.2% compared to 2016, reaching 365,731.

France ranks 1st out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.3% (from 364,462 in 2012).
