At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2023, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.1% compared to 2022, reaching 13.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.4%.

Germany ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.9% (from 15.2% in 2018).
