At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.3% compared to 2023, reaching 14.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Germany ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.8% (from 13.9% in 2019).
