In 2024, Austria's employment rates by citizenship increased by 0.6% compared to 2023, reaching 70.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 66.2%.

Austria ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.2% (from 69.2% in 2019).
