Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Germany's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.5% compared to 2013, reaching 14.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.4%.

Germany ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 32.5% (from 10.9% in 2009).
