Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 15.4% compared to 2013, reaching 5.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.4%.

Netherlands ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 26.9% (from 4.3% in 2009).
