Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2020, Germany's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 31.2% compared to 2019, reaching 10.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.3%.

Germany ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 52.4% (from 6.6% in 2015).
