Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Germany's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 3.9% compared to 2018, reaching 7.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.8%.

Germany ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.6% (from 6.9% in 2014).
