Population in private households by educational attainment level

In 2021, Germany's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 3.2% compared to 2020, reaching 32.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 33.6%.

Germany ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.8% (from 28.3% in 2016).
