In 2016, Greece's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 2.4% compared to 2015, reaching 44,682.

Greece ranks 10th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 25.1% (from 59,624 in 2011).
