In 2005, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex stood at 6.5%.

Hungary ranks 22nd out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.8% (from 8.0% in 2000).
