Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Hungary's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 2.1% compared to 2009, reaching 7.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.3%.

Hungary ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 60.7% (from 4.4% in 2005).
