Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Romania's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 1.7% compared to 2009, reaching 30.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.3%.

Romania ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.6% (from 28.8% in 2005).
