Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Austria's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 3.3% compared to 2009, reaching 66.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.3%.

Austria ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.5% (from 62.9% in 2005).
