Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2016, Hungary's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 0.7% compared to 2015, reaching 7.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 30.2%.

Hungary ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 14.3% (from 6.4% in 2011).
