Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2016, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 0.6% compared to 2015, reaching 22.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 30.2%.

Slovakia ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.6% (from 19.3% in 2011).
