Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Austria's main indicators increased by 1.4% compared to 2015, reaching 72.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 30.2%.

Austria ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.6% (from 66.8% in 2011).
