Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Hungary's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 20.0% compared to 2018, reaching 10.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 34.1%.

Hungary ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 36.5% (from 7.3% in 2014).
