Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Romania's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 2.0% compared to 2018, reaching 42.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 34.1%.

Romania ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.2% (from 41.7% in 2014).
