Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Austria's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 1.2% compared to 2018, reaching 75.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 34.1%.

Austria ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.6% (from 71.1% in 2014).
