Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2020, Hungary's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 19.4% compared to 2019, reaching 11.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.4%.

Hungary ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 62.2% (from 7.3% in 2015).
