At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 8.3% compared to 2024, reaching 18.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Ireland ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 23.7% (from 15.2% in 2020).
