At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2025, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 0.8% compared to 2024, reaching 12.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Ireland ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.6% (from 11.8% in 2020).
