At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2025, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.8% compared to 2024, reaching 18.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Romania ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.6% (from 22.1% in 2020).
