Police-recorded offences by offence category

In 2017, Ireland's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 7.9% compared to 2016, reaching 66,923.

Ireland ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 12.1% (from 76,113 in 2012).
